Natasha's death was a huge blow to human rights in Chechnya, to all of her friends and colleagues, and to all the innumberable people that she gave assistance to.
She was the only one for a long time who dared publically, openly, raise awareness about the law enforcement and security’s abuses in Chechnya.
Others were quietly reporting on the situation too, but she was doing it under her own name and this proved to be lethal. She was murdered and this gap cannot possibly be filled...
I heard people saying, "by killing Natasha, they killed human rights work in Chechnya."
