What to Expect

Throughout the Safeworld Student Writers Project we aim to give students as much help and guidance as possible.

The following is an overview of the process that our Student Writers undertake, so that you know what will be asked of you.

The online application form gives the Safeworld team an insight into you, your interests and what you would enjoy writing about.

If you get through to the next stage you will then be given a short sample piece of writing to do, examples can be seen on the Writers Profiles pages. If this sample piece meets our high standards then you will be accepted into the programme.

Successful applicants are then given their first assignment.

This may include taking part in a collaborative writing project, doing an interview or writing about issues relevant to you or your interests.

While involved with The SafeWorld Writers Project  we will guide you through the process of meeting the needs of our readers.

We welcome individual applications from students around the world and partnership enquiries from universities.
