Our Projects

  1. Sexual and Gender Based Violence
    SGBV prevention and response program of Blue Veins is a multi-pronged response which includes community reach, seminars, conferences, sensitization of journalists, formation of women self-help groups, referral to private and government shelters, production of IEC materials, and working with policy makers and engaging men and boys.
  2. Child Marriages
    Blue Veins is an active member of Girls Not Brides (Global Alliance to End Child Marriages) and working to prevent child marriages in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa through awareness raising, working with adolescent girls and boys, policy change and advocating for legislation to raise minimum age of marriage for girls from 16 to 18.
  3. Safety and Security of Human Rights Defenders  
    Our work on safety and security of human rights Defenders includes training workshops on safety and security, well-being and stress management trainings, digital security trainings, conferences, seminars, training for pro bono lawyers and psychologists, engaging journalists production of IEC material, handbooks, manuals and resource directories.
  4. Women leadership, transformative action, civic education, and democracy
    Our work on women leadership transformative action, civic education and democracy involves voter education and mobilization campaigns, women leadership trainings, leadership, advocacy skills, and campaigning techniques trainings for grassroots political activists, working with women wings of the political parties, and production of IEC materials.
  5. Engaging Men and Boys
    Our working with men and boys is about achieving gender equality, end violence, and promote health for men, women and children. Blue Veins is working to enhance men's leadership and partnership with others in order to promote models of positive masculinity and individual integrity, while dismantling patterns of personal and societal violence and fostering social equality.
    Blue Veins launched MEN UNiTE (Men against Violence and Abuse Alliance) in January 15, 2015
