
The Foundation was formed in 2011 to help curb the high mortality rates recorded in Nigeria.
The Brown Button Foundation is located in the ‘oil rich’ country of Nigeria but ironically full of citizens who live on less than a dollar a day.
BBF is located in Alimosho Local Government, towards the outskirts of Lagos State, South-West Nigeria, but its activities spread across Nigeria. It is the point from which we take off to different locations. Most of the inhabitants of this area are low-income people who have to go to major points in the state, such as Ikeja and Lagos Island, to get qualitative assistance or help on health-related matters.
The country is faced with poverty due to corruption with high maternal mortality due to repugnant traditional and cultural beliefs as it relates to childbirth, as well as failing infrastructures.
