MDG programs are multi-faceted, encompassing the wider development spectrum and networks with other service provides to enhance institutional impact without duplication of resources.

MDG offers short and long term projects. The location of the project projects change every year depending on the community needs, held in the most marginalized regions of the country.
The volunteers have to work together with the locals in order reach a specific goal. After the volunteers leave the community must be able to complete the tasks.
An evaluation on the general conditions of the project is periodic and process oriented.
For this purpose one for the MDG members have to visit project sites, at the beginning, middle and evaluate the general aspects of the camp, as health, food, recreation and group interaction with the local people. Volunteers internally evaluate the project against the aims and objectives, threats, strengths, weakness and opportunities.
Muungano Development Gateway is based in the port city of Kisumu in south west Kenya, on the edge of Lake Victoria.
