RUDEC’s mission, as a non-governmental organization, is to continually seek resources that can promote the socio-economic empowerment of the underprivileged, contribute toward community development and skill sharing through voluntary interchange in the Belo, Cameroon area communities.
RUDEC aims its educational, support and community organising services at the conditions in the community that prevent underprivileged people from meeting their goals primarily through the work of its international volunteers.
RUDEC is situated in the Bamenda Highlands, in a village called Belo. Below the highlands is part of Boyo Division in the Anglophone north west region of Cameroon. Bamenda, the nearest town, is situated 45 km from Belo. RUDEC works in Boyo division in the villages of Belo, Nuhifor, Mbulom, Njinikejem, Njinikom, Mbessa, Mujang and Baicham.
