A world free of FGM and child marriage.
Pastoralist Child Foundation works to eradicate Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) and forced marriages of girls in the Samburu and Maasai communities in Kenya. We also sponsor girls’ education at the primary and secondary school levels.
Our main objectives are to enlighten and educate girls about the harmful effects of FGM and child marriage, to advise them to resist these practices, and to introduce safer and healthier Alternative Rites of Passage to womanhood.
We also mobilize and sensitize community members to initiate open dialogues amongst elders, women, girls, men and boys, and to accelerate the abandonment of FGM and child marriage.
We advise everyone to report incidents of known and/or suspected cases of FGM and child marriage to the proper authorities.
