You need to have experience in identifying suitable funding sources and thoroughly researching each grant-making association's guidelines.
Ideally, this will include experience with UK-based organisations who work with volunteers and partners throughout the world.
You will need experience in identifying potential first grants for relatively new organisations with a low turnover and high investment of time-in-kind from Directors and volunteers.
You will need to liaise with representatives of funding sources to assess grant suitability and you will work with the Safe World Directors on the outline details of proposals and with the Grant Writer(s).
You will coordinate the grant-writing and, subsequently, the evaluation and monitoring of grant-funded programs, or help prepare specifications for evaluation or monitoring of programs by outside agencies.
You will assist department personnel in writing periodic reports to comply with grant requirements and maintain a master file on grants. You will monitor paperwork connected with grant-funded programs.

You will work closely with the Grants Coordinator and the Safe World Directors.
You will have experience in grant-writing, preferably for young organisations at the early stages of their growth but with a big vision.
You will need to be adept at translating plans into eloquent language which will appeal to potential funders.
To get a complete understanding of planned project, you will liaise with key Safe World staff, perform comprehensive research into the project and analyze the feasibility of the project's budget.
After submitting a grant proposal, you will be expected to keep in contact with the potential funder to check on the progress.
You will liaise with the Grants Coordinator to submit progress reports to any grant-making organization that has funded a program, when required.
