Providing the fuel to expand our work

This is a crucial, time-consuming and highly responsible role.

Experienced

You need to have experience in identifying suitable funding sources and thoroughly researching each grant-making association's guidelines.

Ideally, this will include experience with UK-based organisations who work with volunteers and partners throughout the world.

You will need experience in identifying potential first grants for relatively new organisations with a low turnover and high investment of time-in-kind from Directors and volunteers.

Assessing Grants

You will need to liaise with representatives of funding sources to assess grant suitability and you will work with the Safe World Directors on the outline details of proposals and with the Grant Writer(s).

You will coordinate the grant-writing and, subsequently, the evaluation and monitoring of grant-funded programs, or help prepare specifications for evaluation or monitoring of programs by outside agencies.

Report Writing

You will assist department personnel in writing periodic reports to comply with grant requirements and maintain a master file on grants. You will monitor paperwork connected with grant-funded programs.

In short - you will be a treasured member of staff! And you will enable our work to further impact on the lives of women and children throughout the world.

As with all roles, you will need to have good communication skills and enjoy cooperating with a global, multicultural team.

And you need to be passionate about sharing our vision, mission and ethos!
