RuWCED Handball Team

RuWCED joined women all over the world to celebrate on a day dedicated solely for women – International Women's Day... We also participated in a handball tournament as a way of bringing girls together in the community.

Chickens Compassion CBO

We had to start off on a smaller scale than we wanted - there are vaccinations, antibiotics and glucose... Not to mention the building work, feeder, water dispensers and heat lamps that Compassion had to get. Another problem is the unreliability of the power supply...

Digging-the-shamba

It is a great feeling to be even a very small part of what Compassion CBO does... Every couple of weeks, women from Bethsaida Women's Group come and dig up sweet potatoes for three hours a day, which are shared between the women's group and the orphanage.

Grandmas-and-kids

With help from friends and well wishers, URICT worked to improve home health care by focusing on grandmothers. URICT worked with grandmothers to identify the information gap about basic health care, as well as a desire to gain more knowledge about first aid and other ways to improve community health.

Santigie-Dumbuya

Santigie Bayo Dumbuya was forced to be a child soldier during Sierra Leone’s Civil War. In 2009 he founded We Yone Child Foundation.... "We have trained 10 community-based organisations to carry out training and Ebola education in different slum communities around Freetown."
