COFAPRI

COFAPRI is based in Bukavu in the eastern Democratic Rupublic of Congo The organisation empowers women through encouraging income-generating activities such as the rearing of livestock.

COFAPRI sewing 2015

COFAPRI has been able to equip its sewing centre with three additional sewing machines; the total being now six machines. In the first half of the year, we trained 36 women in sewing skills... A further 26 others were trained over the subsequent months.

Clothes distribution

Before Compassion CBO starts a project we make sure it will be self-sustaining and we minimize the risk by starting small before expanding, to avoid massive losses or collapse of the project. Once it succeeds we replicate it with network and community members...

WFAC six years

It's hard to believe that WFAC is already 6 years old. Looking back and counting our accomplishments and impact of our work on the lives of youth – especially women and girls, I feel more than proud and humbled at the number of lives touched, empowered, and saved.

Girls Excel

The International day of the Girl Child still goes unnoticed in many rural communities in Cameroon. Thanks to Girls Excel, a new field project of Voice of Women Initiative, this event was highly commemorated in the North West Region of Cameroon.

RuWCED is recognised as a training center for dressmaking, computer software, and secretarial duties by the Ministry of Employment and Vocational Training. Our programmes target girls and women, including victims of GBV who are either out of school or escaped abusive marriages.
