COFAPRI works with survivors of conflict rape, domestic violence and abuse, in the rural mountain villages of Eastern DR Congo.
Through self-help and mutual support groups, members provide emotional support for each other.
Women are also taught valuable practical skills which enable them to become economically empowered.
And, whenever possible, vulnerable children (often those born of rape) are given educational equipment and their school fees are paid.
50 USD can help one woman to start a micro-business.
10 USD can buy a pair of shoes and school uniform or a pack of sanitary pads.
40 USD covers the costs for one child to attend school for a term (slightly more for teenage girls, due to the cost of sanitary pads).
The child will also love to hear from you and will welcome your continued sponsorship.
