The Pastoralist Child Foundation held its first community educational workshop on February 11th, organized by Samuel Siriria Leadismo, Pastoralist Child Foundation's Founder & Director of Samburu District.

Topics covered were capacity building, FGM, teen pregnancy and child marriages. Two local nurses shared their expertise with the enthusiastic participants.

Pastoralist Child Foundation is a registered community-based organization (CBO) in Kenya, as well as a registered nonprofit 501(C)(3) tax-exempt charity in the USA.

The organization works to end the harmful cultural practices such as female genital mutilation (FGM) and forced marriages of young girls.  They sponsor girls’ education at the primary and secondary school levels
