Health Access and Integrated Development (HAID) Initiative is a not-for-profit organization committed to improving the quality of life of under-served and vulnerable communities in Nigeria through sustainable health and development projects.
HAID Initiative's programs involve building partnerships with communities, government, civil society organizations, corporate organizations and other private sector establishments to improve access to healthcare and facilitate community development.
We promote access to health information, health insurance, sexual and reproductive healthcare for women and mobile primary healthcare in remote communities. We also promote access to medicine, supplies and equipment as well as skills training and other capacity building opportunities for healthcare workers.
We integrate economic development into health access interventions to address some economic and social factors that act as barriers to healthcare access. Our economic development activities focus on facilitating community cooperative development, vocational skills training, entrepreneurial development and business support as well as community investments
We utilize demand-driven community development approaches and integrate research and documentation into all project processes.
